Lolita Lacquer Cuticle Balm Review

Okay, Lacqueristas, I’ve been AWOL for a little while but I’m back! I’m sure Yamira is like, “What’s taking so long?” Haha

I have an exciting product for you all: Lolita Lacquer’s Cuticle Balm (shown below with Apple Pie Mani Bomb).

As you can see, the balm comes in a cute little round container (more about this later). The ingredients are simple: beeswax, mango butter, sweet almond oil, and vitamin E. The balm doesn’t smell delicious like Yamira’s other products, but it also doesn’t have any perfumes/additives so it’s perfect for those of you who prefer natural products. The mango butter and sweet almond oil do give it a nice subtle scent, though!

The butter is hard until warmed by your skin. It goes on smoothly and feels very light and not oily at all. Afterward, my cuticles felt softer and moisturized for sure! For the best effects, I would suggest using this balm like 3-5 times/day (especially right before bed).

The only complaint I have about this product is that the container is taller instead of wider. It’s hard to get the balm out without accidentally scooping it with my nail. I even tried with my nubbins, and still had the same problem. If your fingers aren’t petite, I’d recommend buying the balm stick instead of the container. You can pick up the balm stick in the Lolita Lacquer Etsy Shop here.

If you’re interested in picking up these or other products from Yamira/Lolita Lacquer (she just released a new polish collection, too), check her out on Etsy! Until tonight, you can get free shipping on orders $30+ with the code “FIREWORK”, or 20% off orders $25+ with the code “TROLL”! Happy shopping!

HUGE Bundle Monster Release!

Ladies (and gents?), I’m so excited to bring you the news of this plate release, because there are so many designs I haven’t seen anywhere else. Bundle Monster has created a collection of 20 XL image plates designed to honor their Hawaiian homeland. There are images inspired by the Hawaiian islands, as well as Polynesia (Tonga, Samoa, even New Zealand and the Maori, among others). The plates are mostly the typical XL style, which is great because sometimes I feel like the buffet style gets too packed and I don’t end up with full-coverage images. But for those of you who like the buffet style, there are a few of those as well!

Like I said, there are 20 plates in the release; 4 sets of 5 plates each, which you can buy for $16.99/set right now (discounted from $19.99).

If you’re like me and are on a budget, or just have one or two plates from each set that you want, you can purchase them individually for $4.25/plate right now (discounted from $4.99).

The plates are on pre-order, and will not be shipped until sometime around May 19th, but I’m glad they released them now because I don’t think I could have waited any longer!

To pique your interest, here are the plates I picked up:

Island Shakas

Tahitian Beauty

Tonga State of Mind

Waikiki Ocean Life

If you missed the link at the top, you can view the whole Polynesian Collection at Bundle Monster’s website, HERE.

Happy plating, everyone! I can’t wait to see your creations!

Strawberry Lemonaid Mani Bombs from Lolita Lacquer

I got some great nail mail this weekend: mani bombs from Lolita Lacquer!

I ordered two packs of the strawberry lemonaid scent and two of the mango coconut scent, and Yamira threw in the relaxation soak as a token of thanks.

I have to tell you guys, I am so in love with these products! The last product I tried was a simple mani soak from a different company, and while it was nice I was left wanting some fizziness. Let me assure you, these bombs pack a punch! Here’s a close-up of the strawberry lemonaids.

Don’t they look delicious? Almost good enough to eat! And they smell even better.

Here’s a video I cut together of one in use. It fizzed for a full minute and ten seconds, and my nails and cuticles felt very soft and moisturized afterward. As per Yamira’s instructions, be sure to soak your nails for about 10 minutes, then wait at least 30 minutes to wash your hands or you’ll wash off all the good moisturizing oils!

If you want to get your hands on some of these, Yamira is offering free shipping for orders $15+ on her Etsy store until the end of the weekend. For more information, visit her Instagram @lolitalacquer!

Until next time!
